2 Rockwood House, Denby Dale

This section has photos of Rockwood House, Denby Dale, to which the McGregor and Davies families moved in around 1910. With changes in transport, Brian’s grandfather, Edward, moved from being coachman to chauffeur to the McGregor family. Brian’s father, also Edward and known as Ted, enlisted in 1914 and served throughout the Great War. After serving in the First World War Ted became a wagon driver for Z Hinchliffe until his retirement in the 1960s. The photo below is of Ted and his sisters.
