1988 Pie

The "Bicentenary Pie", commemorating the very first pie of 1788, weighed 9030 kilos and entered the Guinness Book of Records. Celebrations continued over 2 days, with the BBC Radio One Roadshow broadcast live from the Pie Field on the Sunday. With the proceeds the lovely Wither Wood was purchased for the community.
